From Antioch City Manager Steve Duran’s Weekly Report, dated 9/25/15, as provided by Police Chief Allan Cantando:

– On 9/23/2015 at 11:02 pm, officers responded to the report of an accident in the 200 block of Wilbur Ave. The subsequent investigation revealed that 67 year old Alberto Torres was driving westbound on Wilbur Avenue when he lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway. He crossed over a lawn in front of an apartment complex and came to rest against a parked car after going through a small fence. Torres was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was transported to a local hospital and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/22/2015 at 9:59 pm, an officer contacted 23 year old William Landers walking in the area of “C” and W.19th streets. A records check revealed Landers had an outstanding arrest warrant for possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested without incident and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/22/15 at 8:03 am, officers responded to a residence on Terrace Dr. regarding an assault involving a knife. The 50 year old female victim became involved in a heated argument with 54 year old Lance Rebeles. As the argument escalated, Rebeles grabbed a knife from the kitchen and started slashing at the victim while threatening to kill her. The victim got a frying pan and fended him off. Other people at the house intervened and Rebeles put the knife away. Afterwards, he punched the victim several times in the head and face until people separated them. Rebeles was arrested and later booked at the county jail on the charges of felony threats and assault. The victim was not stabbed and sustained moderate injuries.

– On 9/21/2015 at 11:19 pm, officers responded to 2727 Hillcrest Ave. regarding a suspicious vehicle at the location possibly dumping items. When officers arrived, they found the vehicle and determined it was occupied by 33 year old Carlos Morales. A records check revealed Morales had an outstanding arrest warrant charging vehicle theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. He was arrested without incident and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/21/2015 10:21 pm, officers conducted follow up on burglaries from the prior night which had occurred at the Delta RC store on W 10th St. In both incidents, the suspect used an SUV to drive through the doors of the store and merchandise worth approximately $22,000 was stolen. The investigation led to the identity of the suspect, 22 year old Dominique Spears. The officers determined Spears was residing at 850 E Leland Rd. in Pittsburg. Officers contacted Spears at this location and placed him under arrest. They were able to locate and recover $8575 worth of the stolen items at the apartment. Spears was booked at the county jail.

– On 9/21/2015 at 7:48 am, officers responded to KB Massage at 2580 Sycamore Dr. regarding an out of control employee, 44 year old Choung “Henry” Nguyen. Officers learned that Nguyen was a transient and allowed to stay at the business. Today, Nguyen was yelling and screaming for no apparent reason. When officers arrived, Nguyen had walked to the Shell gas station and was screaming in the parking lot. Upon contacting Nguyen, he was aggressive, shouting and attempted to spit on officers. As one officer issued commands to Nguyen he tried to punch her. The officer deployed her Taser and Nguyen fell to the ground. As the officers attempted

to take him into custody, Nguyen bit the officer on the right wrist. Another officer assisted taking Nguyen into custody. Fortunately, the bite did not break the officer’s skin. Officers suspected Nguyen was under the influence of a controlled substance and a blood draw was conducted. Nguyen was booked for felony resisting arrest, assault on officers, being under the influence of a controlled substance and an outstanding warrant for assault on medical staff, trespass and resisting arrest.

– On 9/21/2015 at 7:00 am, officers responded to the call of an abandoned car blocking the roadway on Golf Course Rd. near Cache Peak Dr. The investigation led officers to the registered owners house where it was determined the vehicle had been taken by a friends husband, 38 year old Filipe Pollard, without permission. As officers were taking the stolen report from the victim Pollard pulled up to the house in another car. Pollard was detained and found to be intoxicated. Pollard was arrested for DUI and auto theft and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/20/2015, a victim of a recent auto burglary was notified that her credit card was being used to rent a room at the Days Inn at 1605 Auto Center Dr. She reported this to the police. Officers went to the hotel and determined which room was rented with the stolen credit card. Officers made contact in the room with 28 year old Candice Freitas and 41 year old William Donithan. They were found to be in possession of numerous items of stolen property belonging to the victim. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail on identity theft and fraud related charges. Donithan was also booked for violating his parole.

– On 9/19/2015 at 4:37 pm, officers responded to Sears at 2600 Somersville Rd. regarding 31 year old Leonarht Binns being detained for shoplifting. When officers arrived, a records check was conducted and Binns was found to also have an outstanding arrest warrant for assault with a deadly weapon. Binns was taken into custody and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/19/2015 at 10:28 am, officers were dispatched to the parking lot of the Bonfare market at 907 W. 10th Street on the report of two subjects passed out in a vehicle. 31 year old Jennifer Felix and 25 year old Kevin Herman were both contacted in Felix’s vehicle and found to be under the influence of heroin. Both admitted to using heroin and were booked at the county jail.

– On 9/18/2015 at 11:27 pm, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office STAR 3 helicopter was overhead near A Street and Bryan Ave. The crew reported repeatedly being struck by a green laser. The crew was able to pinpoint the source to the 10 block of Bryan Avenue. Officers responded and located three suspects at 31 Bryan Avenue. They were identified as 18 year old Jose Saborialopez, 23 year old Alejandro Munoz and 19 year old Manuel Munoz. The trio admitted to shining a high powered green laser at the helicopter. They stated they were “messing around” and did not know it was illegal or dangerous. The laser was recovered and all three were issued promises to appear in court.

– On 9/18/2015 at 10:49 am, officers investigated a suspicious vehicle parked in front of 38 W. Madill St. The license plates were reported as lost or stolen. Upon further investigation, the truck was found to be a reported stolen vehicle from U-Haul. The U-Haul markings had already been removed from the truck. Three subjects in the

vehicle were arrested. They were identified as 47 year old Jarrett Jacobs, 37 year old Barton Ramsey and 30 year old Brian Sarmento. In the bed of the truck were several sheets of specialized plywood, new power tools, and sporting equipment. The items appeared to have been taken in some sort of theft. Officers investigated the origin of these items and were able to locate the owner of the sporting equipment who said they were stolen in Walnut Creek two days ago. The trio was booked at the county jail on various felonies. Property from the truck was secured in evidence and a county wide bulletin was published in an attempt to identify the owner of the possible stolen tools and building materials.

– On 9/17/2015 at 6:24 pm, officers responded to the 1000 block of Monterey Dr. regarding a report that 36 year old Lee Brasier was in possession of a firearm. When officers arrived, they spoke to Lee near a parked truck. Lee is a convicted felon and he denied possessing a gun. A search of the home and the truck were conducted and a shotgun shell and eleven rounds of .32 cal ammo were seized. Although no firearm was located, Lee was arrested for being a felon in possession of ammunition. He was booked at the county jail.

– On 9/17/2015 at 2:21 pm, officers located an occupied stolen vehicle in the area of “L” Street and Lemontree Way. Officers followed the vehicle as it turned on to westbound S.R. HWY 4. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but it failed to yield. The vehicle eventually stopped on the off-ramp for Bailey Rd. in Bay Point. With the assistance of CHP, both the driver and passenger were arrested and the vehicle was towed. The driver, 26 year old Brett Kroh, was booked at the county jail. The passenger was released pending further investigation.

On Wednesday, September 24, 2015 at approximately 2:16 PM, Antioch Police Officers responded to a report of a shooting with a subject down near Mountaire Park in the 2600 block of Sunset Lane. The officers arrived to find a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim, a 29-year-old Walnut Creek man, was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced deceased. This case is currently being investigated by the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau. We are in the preliminary stages of this case, and no further information will be released at this time.

This is the fifth homicide of the year in Antioch.

“I in fact have nothing to do with it nor was I there or anything” – Sunny Jacobson

Following her arrest by the Antioch Police, on Thursday, September 17, on a single charge of conspiracy after the fact, in a homicide case, Sunny Jacobson now claims she’s innocent.

She was released from county jail after being held on $500,000 bail, and has not yet been charged by the District Attorney’s office.

In an email exchange with the Herald, this week, she first threatened to sue if the article about her and the photo from her arrest were not removed from the Herald’s website, claiming she was only detained.

“im [sic] going to sue you if you do not take this pic n false info down abouyt [sic] me immed,” Jacobson’s initial email stated.

When asked what was false in the article, she responded, “Because I was never arrested I was detained…big mistake.”

Antioch Police Acting Sergeant Tom Furhman, who had issued the press release about Jacobson’s arrest, responded to a question of whether she had been arrested or just detained.

“She was arrested and booked into county jail on the conspiracy charge with a bail amount,” Fuhrmann wrote in an email. “You can’t book somebody into county jail without arresting them. It wasn’t until the DA reviewed the case that he decided not to charge her. She may or may not have originally been detained at the scene where we arrested Swanson, but we subsequently arrested her and sent her to county jail the night we arrested Swanson.”

In a separate email, Acting Sergeant James Stenger, also responded.

“Sunny Jacobson was arrested during the service of a search warrant and ultimately transported to the county jail on an accessory charge,” he wrote. “The district attorney chose not to file charges and she was released. I think she is basing her statement on the fact that she was given a form similar to the one below that states she was just detained. It does not change the fact that she was arrested under the eyes of the law and if the DA chose to file charges at a later date it would automatically void the form.”

“I know it is somewhat confusing but an arrest occurs any time someone is physically restrained (handcuffed) and transported,” Stenger continued. “I believe arrested is an appropriate term and as we both know anyone can file a lawsuit but in a case like this it would be baseless.”

Stenger’s email also included an attached copy of the Certificate of Release (shown below).

The email from Stenger was shared with Jacobson.

“Well, I don’t understand why they had given me the paper then,” she wrote, “but the way the story was put out there made me out to look like I have something to do with the crime when I in fact have nothing to do with it nor was I there or anything ..n it’s affecting me in a negative way.”

Not happy with her arrest photo posted on the Herald website, she asked that a different one be posted. A photo of Jacobson from her Facebook page accompanies this article.

“I look as if I could of been as crazy as to do such a crime, I’ve never been more embarrassed n all my life,”she wrote. “If you Google my name all pics n info appears so an update would be greatly appreciated since it will be there forever.”

When asked follow up questions of “Do you know Jess ‘Jessie‘ Swanson?”; “Were you with him at the time he was arrested?” and “Why did the police tell you they arrested you?” Jacobson did not respond.

– On 9/19/2015, off duty Antioch Police Officers participated in a Tip-a-Cop event sponsored by Applebee’s restaurant in Antioch. This event was well attended and benefited Special Olympics. Thank you to everyone that volunteered and donated to this worthy cause.

– On 9/16/2015 at 12:56 pm, officers responded to 1105 Auto Center Drive regarding a suspicious transaction of a three wheeled cycle. The investigation revealed that 19 year old Misha Schmidt and 24 year old Coty McDowell attempted to sell a stolen 3-wheeled cycle. The Can-Am cycle was stolen out of Pleasanton. The reporting party became suspicious and called APD to inquire if the cycle was stolen. Officers arrested Schmidt and McDowell for auto theft charges and conspiracy. They both had misdemeanor warrants for their arrest. They were booked at the county jail.

– On 9/16/2015 at 2:54 pm, an Antioch officer heard Brentwood Police run 47 year old Renee Finn for warrants. Antioch Police were investigating Finn as a suspect in two recent robberies. The officer had probable cause to arrest Finn for one of the robberies. Brentwood Police turned her over to Antioch Police. Finn was booked at the county jail on robbery and probation violation charges.

– On 9/15/2015 at 11:50 pm, an officer contacted 39 year old Demont Simon who was sitting in front of Starbucks at 1986 “A” St. The business was closed for the night. A records check revealed Simon had an outstanding parole violation warrant. Simon was taken into custody without incident and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/15/2015 at 7:32 pm, officers responded to 2950 Delta Fair Blvd. regarding a collision in the parking lot with a subject who appeared under the influence. Several citizens were on scene and confronted 40 year old Alvaro Hernandez and took the keys out of his vehicle. When officers arrived, they found Hernandez to be confrontational and obviously intoxicated. Hernandez was taken into custody but required medical attention due to his extreme alcohol intoxication. He was transported to a local hospital where a blood draw was administered. Hernandez was later released pending the lab results of his blood.

– On 9/15/2015 at 4:24 pm, officers were dispatched to the JC Penny’s store at 4951 Slatten Ranch Rd regarding (3) males who stole items and fled the store to a waiting getaway van. the van drove away from the store once the males were inside with the loot. The witness was able to provide the license plate on the van. A records check revealed the van had been reported stolen in Santa Rosa. An officer was in the area and saw the van as it was leaving. The van was pulled over in the Target parking lot and (5) occupants were taken into custody without incident. A loaded firearm was located in the van. The driver, 23 year old Kevin Green, was arrested for the driving the stolen vehicle. a passenger, 22 year old Anderson Thomas, was arrested for possessing the loaded firearm. Two male juveniles in the van were arrested in relation to the theft. One was booked at juvenile hall while the other was cited and released to his parents. A female in the van was booked at juvenile hall for violation of probation.

– On 9/15/2015 at 4:15 pm, a parent reported her 12 yr old son had run away from home. Several officers worked throughout the night attempting to locate the juvenile, who was considered at risk. Officers conducted follow up with the school attended by the runaway and were able to develop leads based his circle of friends. Officers eventually located the juvenile at the home of a friend across town. He was returned to his parents.

– On 9/15/2015 at 4:14 pm, an officer was on routine patrol on “A” St. near Rossi Ave. He saw 26 year old Shane Stange walking in the area. The officer was aware Stange had an outstanding arrest warrant for petty theft. The officer made contact with strange and arrested him without incident. Stange was booked at the county jail.

– On 9/15/2015 at 12:43 am, an officer contacted 54 year old Larry Levi in the area of W. 10th St. and B St. The officer he conducted a search of Levi and found him to be in possession of drug paraphernalia used to smoke methamphetamine. Levi was issued a citation and released from the scene.

– On 9/14/2015 at 3:39 pm, officers responded to Wal-Mart at 4893 Lone Tree Way regarding 19 year old Anthony Kutzman being detained by store security for shoplifting. Officers arrived on scene and a records check revealed Kutzman also had an outstanding arrest warrant for theft. Kutzman was issued a promise to appear and released on both offenses.

– On 9/14/2015 at 2:03 am, an officer saw 28 year old Larry Bethurum walking on Texas St. The officer was aware there was probable cause to arrest Bethurum for auto theft. The officer contacted and arrested Bethurum. Upon doing so, a records check revealed he also had an outstanding arrest warrant for auto theft. He was booked at the county jail.

– On 9/13/2015 at 3:33 pm, officers were patrolling the area of “A” and E.18th streets. They contacted 26 year old Jorge Ruiz and 21 year old Rosario Jujano. Ruiz was determined to have an outstanding arrest warrant for being an unlicensed driver. Lujano was found to be in possession of approximately 1.3 grams of cocaine. Ruiz and Lujano were taken into custody without incident. Ruiz was booked at the county jail on the warrant and Lujano was issued a promise to appear on the drug charge.

– On 9/13/2015 at 6:55 pm, officers were dispatched to the 7-11 store at 2700 Hillcrest Ave. regarding a call of subjects going through an unconscious male’s pockets. Upon arrival, officers determined the original call to be unfounded, but while investigating the incident they contacted 41 year old Daniel Bryant. A records check determined he had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for weapons violations. Bryant was taken into custody without incident and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/13/2015 at 12:03 pm, officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Economy Inn motel at 520 E.18th St. While doing so they made contact with 38 year old Efrain Oseguera. A records check revealed he had an outstanding arrest warrant for failing to appear on a possession of a controlled substance case. He was issued a promise to appear with a new court date.

– On 9/12/2015 at 5:18 pm, officers responded to 1092 Sycamore Dr. on the report of a male conducting hand to hand drug transactions. When officers arrived they contacted 24 year old Michael Garcia who was front of the address. Garcia advised officers he was on parole and was searched. Officers located $80 in small bills but no controlled substances. At about the same time, dispatch advised they were speaking with the original reporting party who stated the male had dropped something by a nearby garbage can prior to officers arriving. Two baggies of marijuana were located where the reporting party had described. A search of Garcia’s phone revealed text messages stating that he had marijuana along with pictures of it. He also texted his location to potential customers. The investigation revealed that over the past two days Garcia had conducted approximately 100 hand to hand suspected transactions at this location. A review of the security system showed a number of transactions that were consistent with sales. Garcia was booked at the county jail for drug charges and violation of parole.

– On 9/12/2015 at 1:47 am, officers responded to 2276 Wilbur Avenue due to a security video monitoring company reporting over 30 cars gathering in the parking lot at that location. It was reported several were driving recklessly. East county agencies had received several calls throughout the evening of similar incidents. As officers arrived a Camaro was observed spinning donuts while spectators watched. Vehicles began to flee when they detected law enforcements arrival. As they did so, the Camaro forced a BMW off the road into a fence. The Camaro continued to flee. Officers pursued the Camaro but the pursuit was terminated. The BMW suffered major damage, but its occupants were not injured. Both were 17 year old juvenile males. They were taken into custody without incident. It was later determined the BMW had been borrowed from another party. The Camaro which had fled was later located when a resident called and advised it had been parked in their driveway and the driver, who was unknown to them, had fled over their fence. Two other male juveniles were stopped in a fleeing vehicle due to the fact they had been involved in the side show. They were also taken into custody. The Camaro was registered to 25 year old Martin Navarro in Concord. Concord PD later made contact with him at his home and he responded to Antioch PD. Although he was identified as the driver who fled, he would not admit to his involvement and claimed to have been sleeping. Navarro was taken into custody and later released pending further investigation. All other parties were cited and released from the police department on promises to appear. All the vehicles were impounded.

– On 9/11/2015 at 11:57 am, officers responded to a residence in the 5300 block of Catanzaro Way on report of two females hitting a male with a shovel. Upon the arrival of officers, the male associated with the call had already fled on foot. Dispatch received a call of two males jumping fences in the 5500 block of Trucksmore Way. Officers responded to Trucksmore Way and were not able to locate the male subjects. Officers located two females, 34 year old Jennifer Higgs and 21 year old Dezane Turbin, on Catanzaro Way who were uncooperative. Records checks revealed they both had outstanding arrest warrants for theft charges. They were both arrested and booked at the county jail.

On Thursday, September 17, 2015 at approximately 3:20 PM, a 15-year-old female was walking home from Deer Valley High School alone on Sagebrush Drive. While she was walking, an unknown black male adult, approximately 40-years-old, driving a gold colored vehicle, pulled in front of the female and motioned for her to come over to his vehicle. The female refused and continued walking. The male then exited his vehicle and approached the female from behind grabbing her wrist. The female immediately pulled her wrist away from the male and ran home. The intent of the male is unknown at this time.

Antioch Police have labeled it a suspicious circumstance. Officers ask that anyone with information regarding this incident contact the Antioch police Department non-emergency line at (925) 778-2441.

On Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at approximately 7:30 PM the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau and the U.S. Marshalls served a search warrant at a residence in 2800 block of Bonita Avenue. At this location, Jess Swanson surrendered to investigators without incident. He was taken into custody on an arrest warrant obtained for the murder of 32-year-old Joshua Jacobson of Antioch. Swanson was booked for Murder, Intimidating a Witness, Terrorist Threats and a Weapon Violation. He is being held at the Contra Costa County Jail with no bail.

Also taken into custody at this location was Sunny Jacobson (41-years, out of Antioch) on a single charge of conspiracy after the fact. She was also booked into the county jail and is being held on $500,000 bail. Sunny is of no relation to the victim.

Investigators will be presenting the case to the District Attorney’s Office later this week. This was Antioch’s 4th homicide in 2015. No further information will be released at this time.

– On 9/9/2015 at 11:21 pm, officers responded to the Executive Inn at 515 E.18th St. regarding a 911 caller reporting a naked man on the roof of the hotel. Several officers responded and located 45 year old Patrice Perkins inside the fenced in pool area with nothing but a bed sheet wrapped around his body. Perkins was sweating profusely. Medical was requested and staged due to Perkins possibly being under the influence of a controlled substance. After he was detained, medics examined Perkins and he was transported to a local hospital. Officers located a small package

of methamphetamine in his right ear canal. A blood draw was conducted and Perkins was released from custody pending lab results.

– On 9/9/2015 at 11:01 am, officers responded to the report of an assault at the CVS store located at 2511 Somersville Road. The investigation revealed that 41 year old Marlon Brown and a 35 year old woman were in an argument. During the argument Pitre struck the victim in the head with the handle of a knife and then fled on foot. Pitre was located a short distance away and was arrested without incident. The victim had a minor laceration and swelling on her head. She was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Pitre was booked at the county jail on the charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

– On 9/9/2015 at 8:23 am, an officer observed a stolen car traveling on Hillcrest Avenue near E. 18th Street. Upon seeing the officer, the driver fled and a short pursuit ensued. The vehicle was involved in a minor collision with city property at the dead end of E. 13th Street and both occupants fled from the car. Rene Orozco, 27 years old, was a passenger and was apprehended almost immediately. The driver, 31 year old Randy Belmont, was located at 85 S. Lake Drive and was arrested. Both subjects are on probation and were booked at the county jail.

– On 9/8/2015 at 7:21 pm, Brentwood police pursued 31 year old Ricky Redd into Antioch. Redd fled on foot and BPD requested assistance. BPD advised the want was for felony evading and grand theft. An Antioch PD Canine Officer responded and conducted a search for Redd with his canine. The canine alerted on the back yard of 4504 Golden Bear Drive. Redd refused to obey officers admonishment to surrender and that a canine would be used if he did not comply. The canine located Redd hiding under a deck and apprehended him. Redd sustained several puncture wounds to his right thigh and calf area. He was arrested and turned over to Brentwood PD.

– On 9/8/2015 at 5:27 pm, an officer attempted to stop a motorcycle for having expired registration tags on Hillcrest Ave. near E.13th St. The driver, 54 year old Donald Anderson, fled and a very short pursuit ensued during which he drove on the wrong side of the road pulling into the driveway of 1316 Hillcrest Ave. Anderson then attempted to flee on foot and hide behind a trailer. He was taken into custody without incident and later booked at the county jail for fleeing from a police vehicle, driving on a suspended license, resisting arrest and violation of probation.

– On 9/8/2015 at 12:32 am, officers responded to the report of an accident on Vista Grande Dr at Benttree Way. when they arrived, their investigation revealed that 22 year old Jeffrey Faughnan was driving northbound on Vista Grande Dr when he lost control of his vehicle and struck the curb at Benttree Way. The vehicle hit a city sign, rolled over and ended up upside down on the shoulder of the roadway. Faughnan was not seriously hurt. He was contacted and exhibited symptoms of being intoxicated. Faughnan is currently on court probation for DUI. He was arrested for DUI and taken to a local hospital for treatment. Faughnan was later released pending the lab results of his blood test.

– On 9/7/2015 at 4:19 pm, officers responded to 2212 “L” St. regarding a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, officers contacted 25 year old Nijm Pulliam. It was determined she had two outstanding arrest warrants from Redwood City charging theft and possession of stolen property. She was arrested and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/7/2015 at 4:18 pm, officers were dispatched to 516 W. Tregallas Road regarding a fight between 21 year old Adrien Morales and a female. Upon arrival, officers saw Morales fleeing the scene in a vehicle and officers initiated a stop on the car. The female was uncooperative and left the area. Officers contacted Morales and located methamphetamine inside his vehicle. Morales was taken into custody without incident, booked at Antioch PD and later released on a promise to appear.

– On 9/6/2015 at 5:09 pm, an officer was patrolling the area of E. Madill St. when he noticed 22 year old Martin Revuelta attempting to hide behind a parked car. The officer knew Revuelta had an outstanding arrest warrant for vehicle theft. Revuelta was contacted and arrested without incident. He was later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/6/2015 at 4:20 pm, an officer conducted a traffic stop at 1800 “A” St. Upon contacting the driver, 30 year old Shabrya Wallace, a records check revealed she had four outstanding arrest warrants charging accessory, possession of a controlled substance and being under the influence of a controlled substance. She was arrested without incident and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/6/2015 at 4:14 pm, an officer saw 26 year old Shane Stange walking along E.18thSt. near Evergreen Ave. The officer was aware Stange had an outstanding arrest warrant charging petty theft. Stange was arrested and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/6/2015 at 1:07 pm, officers responded to a disturbance at 2201 San Jose Dr. Mario Gilmore, 29 years old, was contacted at the location. A records check revealed he had an outstanding arrest warrant for petty theft. He was arrested without incident and later booked at the county jail.

– On 9/6/2015 at 12:39 pm, officers responded to Denny’s at 2006 Somersville Rd. regarding a subject attempting to leave without paying for her meal. Dawanna Hall, 34 years old, was detained by employees in the parking lot until police arrived. A records check revealed she had two outstanding arrest warrants for theft and possession of a controlled substance. Officers found she had two purses full of merchandise with security and price tags on them. Hall was arrested for her

warrants and the defrauding at Denny’s. Officers conducted follow up at Somersville Town Center and determined the items in Hall’s purse were stolen. She was booked at the county jail on the warrants and other charges.

– On 9/6/2015 at 2:22 am, officers responded to a single vehicle accident at Fitzuren Rd and Contra Loma Blvd. Upon their arrival, officers found a vehicle had collided with a concrete wall on the east side of the Union 76 gas station. Officers contacted the driver, 22 year old Dawna McWethy. She explained to officers she was driving her Honda Civic eastbound on Buchanan Rd. at Contra Loma Blvd. As she drove through the intersection she fell asleep and continued traveling straight into the parking lot and collided into the concrete wall. McWethy exhibited symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She provided a PAS sample at the scene which indicated her blood alcohol level was .145%. McWethy was arrested and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/5/2015 at 6:35 pm, an officer was patrolling the area of Hillcrest Ave. and Wildflower Dr. when he noticed a reported stolen U-Haul pick-up truck drive by. The officer turned around, but was unable to catch up to the U-Haul. He drove in the direction he last saw it and noticed a similar U-Haul pick up with a different license plate parked in the driveway of 628 Burwood Way. Although this was a different truck, a records check revealed it too was a reported stolen. There was also a U-Haul van parked at this address that was also reported stolen. Officers contacted 34 year old Lisa St. Onge, 37 year old Roberto Vallencillo and 31 year old Christine Williams, who were all inside the house at the location. Roberto Vallencillo was determined to be on probation with a search clause. He had the keys to the stolen van in his pocket. A search of his bedroom uncovered a credit card manufacturing assembly line. There were several California ID cards with Roberto Vallencillo and Christine Williams’ photos on them with various names and addresses. All 3 were arrested and booked at the county jail on charges related to auto theft and forgery. The two U-Haul vehicles at the home were recovered and the original stolen U-Haul the officer saw was never located.

– On 9/4/2015 at 11:41 pm, officers were in the parking lot of Tailgaters sports bar at 4605 Golf Course Rd completing their investigation into the below listed auto burglaries. Michael Morris, 38 years old, walked to his newly purchased 2015 F150 and drove out of the parking lot. Morris pulled onto Lone Tree Way where he lost control of his vehicle, drove onto the center median and collided with a tree, sheering it at the base. Morris fled eastbound on Lone Tree Way in his moderately damaged pickup. Officers were able to catch up with Morris and conduct a traffic stop. Morris was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest. He later provided a breath test which indicated he had a blood alcohol content of .12. He was later released on a promise to appear for DUI and Hit & Run.

– On 9/4/2015 at 10:02 pm, officers responded to a Coronado Ct. regarding a naked male walking in the area. When officers arrived, they located 43 year old Luis Flores who was only wearing a shirt and socks. Flores was found to be a sex registrant who was out of compliance. He was arrested for the registration violation and indecent exposure and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/4/2015 at 10:01 pm, officers responded to Tailgaters Sports Bar at 4605 Golf Course Rd. on a report of two vehicles being burglarized in the parking lot while the owners were inside the above establishment. Additionally, attempts had been made to force entry into a third vehicle. One of the victims had an ipad stolen, which he was able to track on his cell phone. The Ipad was tracked to the intersection of Belle Dr. and Chickie St., where officers contacted 22 year old Kelvaughn Wells and 18 year old Lamar Fontenot as they exited a vehicle. Both subjects were detained without incident. The ipad and various other property stolen were located in their vehicle. Both were arrested and booked at the county jail.

– On 9/3/2015 at 11:45 pm, 45 year old Michelle Robinson was driving at a high rate of speed on Mandarin Way and almost collided with an Antioch police sergeant’s patrol vehicle. The sergeant caught up to Robinson on “L” St. and a traffic stop was initiated in the Bonfare Market parking lot on W.10th St. Robinson exhibited symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol. She submitted to a PAS Test and the results returned as .355% BAC. Robinson was arrested for DUI. A passenger in her vehicle was identified as 19 year old Skiphula Lee who resides in Fairfield, Ca. Lee had an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of Solano County for failing to appear on theft charges. Robinson and Lee were both booked at the county jail.

On Wednesday, September 8, 2015 at approximately 12:30 AM, Antioch Police Department patrol officers responded to the 400 Block of San Joaquin Ave on a report of someone screaming with a gunshot heard. Patrol officers arrived and located a 32-year-old male victim who suffered from a gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned that Jess, aka “Jessie” Swanson was a person of interest. If you have any information as to Swanson’s whereabouts, please notify the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau or call 911. Swanson should be considered armed and dangerous. Please do not attempt to contact or detain Swanson without notifying the proper authorities.

This case is still being investigated by the Antioch Police Department’s Investigations Bureau.
