Antioch man shot, killed early Tuesday morning, city’s fourth murder of the year, police seek shooter

On Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at approximately 12:39 AM, Antioch Police Officers responded to a report of screaming and gunshots heard in front of a residence in the 400 block of San Joaquin Ave. The officers arrived to find an adult male victim, a 32-year-old Antioch resident, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

This case is currently being investigated by the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau. We are in the preliminary stages of this case, and no further information will be released at this time.
