On April 24 at 5:17 p.m. a 24-year-old Pittsburg resident arrived alone at Sutter Delta Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds.

He apparently drove himself to the hospital after being shot at an unknown location in Antioch. The victim claims the shooting occurred when he stopped his car to look at his phone. The victim was uncooperative and refused to cooperate with the investigation. The wounds appear to be non-life threatening.

On 4/20/11 charges were filed by the Contra Costa County DA’s Office for the 12/20/10 murder of Arnold Muckleroy. The following is a list of those arrested and their charges. One suspect is still outstanding.

Brandon Washington (12/27/1991) – Arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held at Martinez County Jail. He is an Antioch resident.

Alejandro Landeros (05/31/1992) – Arrested and charged with murder. He is currently being held at Martinez County Jail. He is an Antioch resident.

Victoria Moreno (01/18/1993) – Arrested and charged with being an accessory after the murder. She is an Antioch resident.

Still outstanding and wanted for murder is:

Michael Pulliam-Banks (03/16/1992) – He has a $2,170,000 warrant for his arrest. He is an Antioch resident, but we believe he may be hiding in San Francisco, Vallejo, Oakland, or Sacramento. Pulliam-Banks should be considered armed and dangerous.

INCIDENT: Murder

DATE OF INCIDENT: December 20, 2010

LOCATION: Rockspring Way in Antioch

SUSPECT: PULLIAMBANKS, MICHAEL ELIJAH

Black Male, Black Hair, Brown Eyes, HT:6-02 WT:164

VICTIM: Male in his early 20’s

Pulliambanks has been identified as a suspect in this murder investigation. A warrant has been issued for his arrest for attempted murder. The bail has been set at $500,000. The victim in this case has since succumbed to his injuries; however the arrest warrant was issued prior to his being deceased. Detectives will be seeking an amendment to the warrant charging murder. The suspect in this case is known to frequent the greater bay and Sacramento areas.

Banks should be considered armed and dangerous. The vehicle used during this murder has been recovered by the Antioch Police Department.

On December 20th 2010 at approximately 1713 hrs, Antioch Police responded to a report of a man down in the street on Rockspring Way in Antioch. Upon their arrivals, police found a young male in his 20’s lying in the street that appeared to have a suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Life –saving measures were taken and he was transported to a local trauma center where he remains in very critical condition.

Police have determined the victim was driven to the location to meet some people who were in a 90’s era dark green Ford Escort with two doors, which was very dirty. The victim entered the vehicle which contained several black males. Almost immediately upon entering the vehicle, shots were heard and the victim was pushed out of the car, which fled the area.

On April 11 just after 12:30 p.m. police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Mahogany Way at Mandarin Way.

As officers arrived on scene, they located a 23-year-old Antioch male in the garage of a nearby residence. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the neck, but was awake and alert. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Evidence of the shooting was later located at the corner of Mahogany Way and Mandarin Way.

Police are in the process of determining the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information regarding this case is encouraged to call the Antioch Police Department at (925) 778-2441.

On April 6 just before 1 p.m. Antioch police received several calls of gun shots being heard/fired in the 1700 block of Spanos Drive with several people, described only as unknown race males, running from the area. No one reported to have witnessed the actual shooting.

Arriving officers found several bullet strikes to the side wall of a detached garage at 1732 Magnolia Drive. A vehicle parked in the driveway at that location was also struck several times. The residents were not home at the time of the shooting.

It was determined that two unknown responsibles were shooting at one another while fleeing the area. Several casings were found on Magnolia Drive with a second grouping found on Spanos Street. No victims of the gunfire were located at this time. Area hospitals have been notified.

The Antioch Police Department is investigating two unrelated shootings that occurred April 4 on Sycamore Drive in Antioch.

The first shooting occurred at 4:07 p.m. in the 1500 block of Sycamore Drive.  Officers were first dispatched to a large fight at this location, and soon after a report of shots being fired. Officers located a 24-year-old Antioch male suffering from a single gunshot wound to his leg. He told officers that he did not know who shot him, but that the shots were fired from a small, black car. This victim was treated at a local hospital and is expected to survive.

The second shooting occurred at 9 p.m. in the 1700 block of Sycamore Drive. Officers were dispatched to the area for the report of several people shooting at each other. Officers arrived and located a 19-year-old male Antioch resident suffering from a gunshot wound to his face. This victim was taken to a local hospital where he was placed into a medically induced coma.

He is expected to survive, although he may be paralyzed from the chest down, according to police.  Officers found casings from several different types of weapons. Several cars and buildings were hit with stray bullets, but no other victims were located. This shooting appears to be gang related.

An Antioch Police Officer was injured April 5 at 1:53 a.m. after a parolee-at-large knocked her down with his car in the Valero gas station at 2101 Somersville Road then rammed her patrol car.

The officer was conducting a traffic stop on Dante Curry, 28, of San Francisco, for driving with no headlights on. Curry provided the officer with a false name upon first contact.  The officer opened Curry’s driver’s door and asked him to step out of the car in order to try and confirm his identity.

Curry instead put his car in reverse and knocked the officer down with the car door and then rammed the officer’s patrol car, according to police. The officer was knocked to the ground with such force that she had to be treated at a local hospital. She was later released and is expected to make a full recovery.

Curry sped off in his car and a pursuit ensued with other APD officers. The pursuit ended several miles away near Sequoia and Redwood Drive in Antioch. Both the driver and passenger fled on foot. The passenger was apprehended with the help of an Antioch police K9 unit.

The driver, Curry, fled over several neighborhood fences and was eventually caught after and extensive search with the help of a Brentwood PD K9.  Curry was found to be a parolee at large out of San Francisco. He is on parole for weapons and explosives violations.

On March 20 at  7 p.m. in the 2400 block of Cambridge Drive in Antioch, a male posing as an AT&T employee came to several houses stating he had a special offer for the elderly residents.  The subject had an AT&T  identification card with a photo, that upon closer examination did not match that of the suspect.  The suspect asked for personal information, indicating it was part of the sales procedure.

AT&T has been contacted, and it has been confirmed that this was not one of their employees.  The Antioch Police Department would like to make this information known to the public so that they don’t fall victim to any such fraud.

UPDATE:

On 3/28/11 Antioch Police detectives learned that Charles Redmond had crossed back over the US border from Mexico and was admitted to a San Diego area hospital. Antioch detectives traveled to San Diego where they interviewed Redmond and arranged for him to be arrested upon his release from the hospital.

On 3/31/11 Redmond was arrested by the San Diego Police Department on his outstanding warrant.  The Antioch Police will be meeting with the District Attorney’s Office next week to present charges and then arrange his extradition.

Park Middle School teacher Charles Redmond, 63, of Pittsburg, is being sought by Antioch police on suspicion of intending to commit lewd or lascivious acts with a minor.

On the evening of March 24 the Antioch Police Department was made aware of allegations of inappropriate comments to male students and the alleged illicit touching of an 8^th grade male student by Redmond. The touching was over the victim’s clothing, according to police. After police began an inquiry and criminal investigation, Redmond left a note for his family and is believed to have fled to Mexico.

A $100,000 warrant for his arrest has been issued.  Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to contact Detective Robert Green at (925) 779-6932.
