Hayward teen injured in skateboard accident with car

On May 29, 2013 at approximately 4:53 p.m., the Antioch Police Department responded to a call of an injury accident at the intersection of Pawnee and Indian Hills Drive. Officers arrived to find an 18-year-old Hayward male in semi-conscious state with serious injuries. The male had been riding a “Rip Stick” down the street with no helmet, went through the stop sign at Pawnee and Indian Hills Drive.

The other involved party was in a vehicle traveling westbound on Indian Hills Drive at about 25-30 MPH. The male broadsided the vehicle and was thrown about 30 feet. The male was life flighted to a nearby hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery. It does not appear based on our preliminary investigation that alcohol was a factor in the collision.

Antioch man stabs woman, arrested for attempted homicide, this morning

At 7:56 a.m, this morning Antioch Police responded to a stabbing at Save Mart at 3190 Contra Loma Blvd. Upon police arrival, the 50-year-old female victim, an Antioch resident, was found suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The responsible, 35-year-old Jeffrey Crimson of Antioch, was captured a short distance away by several good Samaritans and turned over to police. The victim was taken to an area hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

Antioch Police make arrest on Thursday in man’s beating and robbery last Saturday

Antioch Police Department Detectives made an arrest in the late afternoon hours of Thursday, May 23, 2013 on the case of an 83-year-old man who was robbed and beaten on Lone Tree Way near Orchard Supply Hardware last Saturday. The juvenile suspect was interviewed by Investigators and subsequently booked into the Juvenile Detention Facility in Martinez on felony assault and robbery charges.

The identity of the suspect will not be released at this time. The case will be under review by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. The Antioch Police Department appreciates the media’s and the public’s assistance with this case but will not be releasing any further information at this time.

The Antioch Police Department is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying this person of interest in last Saturday’s assault and possible robbery of an 83-year-old male in the Orchard Supply Hardware parking lot at 4873 Lone Tree Way in Antioch on Saturday, May 18. The person depicted in these photos is only wanted for questioning at this time.

The victim’s condition remains the same (critical) at an area hospital. No other information regarding this case will be released at this time.

Antioch man shot during robbery in Wild Horse neighborhood Monday night

On Monday, May 20, 2013 at approximately 8:20 p.m., Antioch Police responded to a report of a shots fired near the 4600 block of Menona Drive. Upon arrival, police learned that a 50-year-old male Antioch resident was out for a walk in the Wild Horse neighborhood when he was confronted by an armed robber. The robber demanded money and then shot the victim before fleeing the area.

The victim was treated and released from a local hospital for a non life threatening gunshot wound. The armed robber was described as a black male adult and in the company of a second black male as well as one black female. The responsible parties fled the scene in what was described as a white or light gray Pontiac (possibly a Grand Am) with a rear spoiler.

Antioch man robbed and assaulted in store parking lot on Saturday

On Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 5:16 p.m., Antioch Police responded to a robbery in progress at 4873 Lone Tree Way, near Orchard Supply Hardware. Upon arrival, the 83-year-old male victim was found unconscious and bleeding. The victim was taken to a hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

The responsible individual was not located and the investigation is ongoing.

Antioch Police make arrest in Friday shooting death

Following up on a lead called in by a concerned citizen reporting a suspicious subject in their neighborhood, Antioch Police Department Detectives made an arrest in the early afternoon hours of Friday, May 17, 2013 on this homicide case. The suspect was subsequently interviewed by Investigators and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on homicide charges. The identity of the suspect will not be released at this time. The case will be under review by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office. The Antioch Police Department will not be releasing any other information at this time.

Man found dead of gunshot in Antioch on Friday morning

On Friday, May 17, 2013 at approximately 7:57 a.m., Antioch Police officers responded to a call of a possible dead body near the entrance to a nearby apartment complex in the 3400 block of Hudson Court. Officers and medical personnel responded and found a 22-year-old male subject who was pronounced dead at the scene.

It was later determined that the deceased subject had been shot. The victim was on the side of an apartment complex and appeared to have been there for several hours. This case is currently being investigated as a homicide by the Antioch Police Department Investigations Bureau.
