Odd place for a guy from Oakland to be passing his time away. Drug deal gone bad??? Ya think?
I live a mile or so from Cavallo and on my street they call it little Sycamore. Why is it, that if you’re a big bank like Wells Fargo of BofA, the APD will put decoy cars in front of the bank all day, but when it comes to one of the toughest intersections in the city, they can’t park a decoy car to scare away the drug buyers and johns? Those decoy cars don’t even stop bank robbers because they plan their crime, but the crime on Cavallo isn’t planned and would be distracted by the presence of a police vehicle even if there are no officers. Even if the prostitutes and dealers know that the car is bogus, how are they going to get customers to stop when they see an APD unit parked in the econolodge parking lot? Seems to me this would be a better use of our city’s vehicles, more effective and they wouldn’t even have to stop protecting the wealthy banks who can already afford private security, because they can run the decoys at night.
Gotta loooooove Antioch!
Something needs to be done on that street.
