Two injured when car hits tree in Antioch, Sunday afternoon

On November 27, 2016 at approximately 2:48 PM, Antioch Police Officers and ConFire were dispatched to the area of Hillcrest Avenue and Sterling Hills Drive for the report of a vehicle that had crashed into a tree. Upon police arrival, medical and fire personnel were already on scene and tending to the occupants of the vehicle, a 21-year-old male and 19-year-old female.

The driver of the vehicle was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with major injuries and admitted in stable condition. The passenger was transported via helicopter to an area hospital with major injuries and also admitted in stable condition.

Drugs and alcohol do not appear to be a factor in this collision.
