Officers were on a detail in the 600 block of West 19th Street when they heard gunshots in the 400 block of West 19th Street. A short time later a 37 year old male was found in the 1900 block of D Street with several gunshot wounds to his upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment in stable but serious condition.

The incident is currently under investigation.
