New Smart & Final extra! store officially opens in Antioch
Smart & Final Antioch Store Manager Robert Scholl cuts the ribbon with members of the Antioch City Council and Antioch Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 to officially open the store. It’s located at 2638 Somersville Road in the Somersville Town Centre.

What a waste of time. The one in Brentwood didn’t last a year over by Trader Joe’s. I don’t expect this one will make it either. They don’t have good prices generally. A good sale once in a while on an item or two. The city of Antioch thinks this is a big prize. Not so.
You should check your information on the prices. They beat out Albertsons, Stater Bros. and Vons on almost every item. They price match to Walmart and Costco.
As the only grocery store in southwest Antioch, Smart & Final is going to get a lot of business. Their competition will come when the new Grocery Outlet opens up at Somersville & Buchanan.
Like any grocery store, you have to be aware of the prices and what other grocery stores charge before buying.
Smart & Final has many items that are difficult to find or non existent in standard grocery stores. I REALLY missed the one in SE Antioch and hope that this one does well.
