Antioch makes list of Top 100 Most Dangerous Cities in the U.S.

By Allen Payton

According to a study by Antioch, California is number 85 on their list of the most dangerous cities to live in America with a population of 25,000 or more. The ranking is based on the number of violent crimes per 1,000 residents.

Four other nearby cities also made the list: Richmond ranked number 69, while Merced ranked 88, Stockton ranked 19th and Oakland ranked 9th, the state’s most dangerous city.

With the passage of Measure C, the city’s half-cent sales tax increase on last month’s ballot, additional police officers, Community Service Officers who support the police and Code Enforcement Officers are expected to be hired, starting in 2014. That will hopefully result in a safer community and removal from the list, next year.

I saw this article published on East County Today. It included the top 5 most dangerous cities in America:

    5. Saginaw, MI
    4. West Memphis, AR
    3. Camden, NJ
    2. Flint, MI
    1. East St. Louis

Anyone want to know why the top 5 are the most dangerous cities in America? Does anyone have even the slightest clue? Well, here it is, which by the way is a very simple answer:

    5. Saginaw, MI 45% Black population
    4. West Memphis, AR 62% Black population
    3. Camden, NJ 43% Black population
    2. Flint, MI 56% Black population
    1. East St. Louis, 96% Black population

Guess what? Antioch is reaching these levels of Black demographics. And if any of you have some ridiculous rebuttal, answer this question.. Give me one city in the Bay Area with a Black population of over 15% that has low crime. Give me one…just one.
