By Sergeant Steve Bias, Antioch Police Community Policing Bureau

On Sunday, August 18, 2013 at 7:49 a.m., Antioch police received a call of an elderly woman who had been robbed of her purse in the 3300 block of Contra Loma Blvd. When police arrived, they found the 82 year old woman near St Ignatius Church, where she was walking to when this robbery occurred.

The male responsible is described as a black male adult, 30-40 years old, 5’5” – 5’7”, thin, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt. The responsible jumped into a nearby vehicle being driven by another unknown subject, no description available for the second suspect. Welcome to Antioch.

I wish that elderly woman or some witness had a CCW license. Antioch is not safe
and the police can’t help us. The county should allow law abiding citizens to carry concealed
    weapons to protect themselves.

We all know the demographics that ruin this city.

  2. Christopher Grisham says:

Oh I almost forgot. Remember the warm and cozy feeling all you fools who fell and voted
for Harper’s BS slogan of “zero tolerance for crime”?

This weekend had multiple robberies some homicides and much more. What good has “zero tolerance for crime”
    changed in our city.

you voters need to wake up. What has Harper done since election? What significant thing has he
done for the quality of life in Antioch? Remember he and the rest of the three stooges (rocha and tiscarino) voted
down the Landlord Rental License Ordinance that could have brought millions to fund police.

Harper, Rocha and Tiscarino didn’t allow the Antioch citizens to vote on the ordinance. They think they
    know what’s best for us.

I pray this elderly lady recovers well. I pray she moves out of this city that is run by pro-criminal politicians.

Criminals that target the elderly are the lowest scum on earth. I hope they catch them. Again, Christopher, I agree that we would benefit from CCW permits for sure, but we need people to stop voting for liberal politicians (including the ones you mentioned) that are soft on crime and do nothing to help us law abiding citizens. The vast majority of people in Antioch do the insane thing of voting for the same people over and over again. I hope at least some of them come to their senses and vote for new people in 2014. I noticed when I post about it on several Facebook pages, I get a lot of “likes’, so I know there are people out there who feel as I do.

Kenji, have you ever considered that the council may be bribing some voters to vote? The same scum that commits those crimes? Everyone I know voted against the above council members on landlord tax, and yet = there it is.

      • Christopher Malik Grisham says:

        Hello Illiena,

With no ego, I know well over 150 people in Antioch. None of them voted for Harper, Wilson or Rocha. None of the 150 people know anyone who voted for them as well.

      Hi Kenji,

I also believe there are many many people in Antioch that truly want change. I was very surprised when Harper, Rocha, and Wilson won / kept their seats. I think there is some kind of group or groups of organizations that have a special “back door contribution” relationship with these politicians. I scratch your back you scratch mine kind of deal.

We need more people who are willing to wake up and vote for the right person who will do the job instead of emotional reasons.
