One killed, four injured in car accident in Antioch, early Saturday morning

On Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 12:47 a.m., Antioch Police received the report of a solo vehicle collision on Hillcrest Avenue south near Wildflower Drive.

Upon arrival, a solo vehicle was found in the roadway after colliding with a tree in the center median. The driver suffered major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Four other passengers were severely injured in the collision and were transported to area hospitals for treatment. All were later found to have non-life threatening injuries and are listed in stable condition.

It is unknown if alcohol or drugs played a role in this collision. The cause is still under investigation at this time. All names are being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin. No further information will be released at this time.
