• ·On 2/25/16 at 3:37 am, officers responded to an alarm call at 3220 Lone Tree Way. They located 28 year old Cameron Alexander sleeping against the door the alarm was triggered from. There were no signs of forced entry, but Alexander was found to have a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. He was booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/24/16 at 7:38 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Bonfare Market on W 10^th St to assist Contra Costa County Fire with a combative bystander who was interfering with them while responding to a medical call. When officers arrived on scene, a Fire Captain from Engine 81 pointed out a subject, later identified as 34 year old Doran Cole, walking in the middle of West 10th St. Fire stated that Cole claimed to be a Norteno Gang member and threatened to shoot the firefighters as well as the victim they were treating. Cole was immediately detained and found not to be in possession of a weapon. He was however found to have a .244 blood alcohol level. He was arrested for making felony threats and public intoxication. He was sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/24/16 at 7:21 am, 36 year old John Pavlin entered Sam’s Liquors at 2 Wilbur Ave and began eating food and taking items off the shelves to steal. When he was confronted, he threatened to shoot and kill everyone. Pavlin moved to the main doors and blocked them refusing to let anyone out as he continued to threaten to kill everyone. Officers arrived and took Pavlin into custody quickly. He was not armed and booked into the county jail.
• ·On 2/24/16 at 3:335 am, 28 year old Ashley Bassosborne was travelling north on Hillcrest Ave in the number 2 lane approaching Terrace View when she did not realize that there was a stranded motorist along the curb side of the road waiting for a tow truck. Bassosborne collided into the rear of the parked vehicle. Bassosborne was determined to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Bassosborne was transported to the hospital and medically cleared. She was arrested for DUI and later released pending further investigation.
• ·On 2/23/16 at 11:04 pm, an officer was driving on Hillcrest Ave when he observed the vehicle in front of him swerving within its lane and driving well below the posted speed limit. An enforcement stop was conducted and 55 year old Cheri Childs was contacted as the driver. Childs displayed objective symptoms of intoxication and failed the subsequent sobriety tests. Childs was placed under arrest and later provided a breath sample. Childs was booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/23/16 at 8:42 am, officers were dispatched to the area of E 18^th St and Hillcrest Ave regarding a vehicle stopped in the roadway. While responding to the location, dispatch advised the license plate came back as stolen out of San Francisco. Upon arrival, officers located 24 year old Deontae Alexander passed out in the driver’s seat. He was immediately detained. Officers cleared the rest of the van and located 25 year old Samuel Charles in the back of the van with a blanket covering his body. He was also detained. During a search of the van, officers located a loaded .38 revolver inside a backpack. Alexander was a convicted felon and on probation. Both Alexander and Charles were arrested and sent to county jail for auto theft and weapons charges.
• ·On 2/22/16 at 10:13 pm, an officer was driving in the area of G St and W 13^th St when his attention was drawn to a suspicious U-Haul van on W 13^th St. When he turned around to investigate, the van had driven away out of sight for a few seconds but was subsequently located on W 12^th St. The driver of the U-Haul; 56 year old Kaivalya Earls exited the van and was walking away from the vehicle. The officer exited his patrol vehicle and contacted Earls. As the officer approached, Earls removed a silver handgun from his waistband. The officer quickly reacted and drew his duty weapon at which point Earls dropped the handgun to the ground. Earls cooperated with officers demands and was taken into custody without incident. Earls is a convicted felon with a prior firearm related conviction. Earls was transported to county jail.
• ·On 2/22/16 at 3:09 pm, dispatch received a call of a subject with a gun at Bonfare Market on W 10^th St. Arriving officers were not able to locate any disturbance and no one in the store had seen a gun. 25 year old Joseph Curiel was contacted in the parking lot and consented to a search of his person. Curiel was found to be in possession of heroin. Curiel was released from the scene with a citation.
• ·On 2/22/16 at 2:41 pm, APD received several calls from neighbors throughout the day that 19 year old Brian Colland was in the area of 2200 Peppertree Way and that he had several warrants. He also was a suspect in a recent shooting. On this call, security advised Collard arrived in a black Infinity and was inside apartment #3. Upon arrival, Colland was seen exiting #3 and standing between the buildings. An officer and his police K9 attempted contact with Colland who fled on foot. The police K9 was deployed and after a short foot pursuit was able to detain the suspect. Colland received dog bites and was treated at a local hospital before being sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/22/16 at 8:00 am, an officer was conducting a security check of 97 and 85 S Lake Dr. As the officer drove west bound on S Lake Dr he observed a white pickup truck approaching him. The truck had an orange light on the top which the officer was aware that one like that had been stolen the day before. As the truck passed him, he saw a male later identified as 26 year old Robert Kelly driving with two other occupants. The officer made a U-turn and attempted to catch up to the vehicle which fled at a high rate of speed north bound on Hillcrest Ave. As the vehicle approached Jacobsen St, the officer attempted a car stop. The vehicle slowed and briefly came to a stop and then the truck took off. A pursuit was initiated and the vehicle fled west bound on Wilbur Ave at speeds of approximately 45mph. As the vehicle approached E 18^th St, it crossed into the north bound lanes in order to go around cars stopped for the red light. The officer saw this and terminated his pursuit. The truck entered the intersection against the red and collided with another vehicle (No injuries.) The collision severed the front right tire of the truck but it continued south bound on A St. The truck then collided with a second vehicle at West Tregallas Rd before hitting a city owned light pole and coming to rest against the Quick Stop Building. The driver and female occupant fled the vehicle on foot towards San Joaquin Ave. Officers arrived a short time later and began an area check locating Kelly on D St. There were no injuries during any of the collisions. Kelly was taken to county jail and booked on numerous felony charges.
• ·On 2/21/16 at 8:29 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of Taco Bell on Deer Valley Rd regarding a verbal dispute. Officers discovered one of the involved parties; 37 year old Raphael Pintado had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/21/16 at 5:35 pm, officers were dispatched to Nelson Ranch Park regarding a male subject stumbling out of the bushes with a handgun that fell out of his pants. Upon arrival, officers located three subjects sitting at a table and drinking beers. One of the males, 24 year old Nicholas Steiner, matched the description given by the reporting party. As officers approached, Steiner grabbed onto his waistband, making an adjustment to his shirt and pants. He was immediately detained and found to have a loaded .38 revolver in his waistband. The gun was not registered to Steiner who said he bought it off the street. He was arrested and booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/21/16 at 1:35 am, officers attempted to contact 44 year old Douglas Doolin as he was riding his bicycle in the intersection of Sunset Dr and Hillcrest Ave. Doolin did not want to be contacted and fled on foot. Officers gave chase and caught up to Doolin in the open space near the BART park n ride. Doolin had a no bail warrant for his arrest and was booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/21/16 at 12:50 am, dispatch received several calls of shots fired at Safeway on Deer Valley Rd. Officers arrived and contacted several people who heard three to four shots in the area but no one saw the shooter. A vehicle was located in the parking lot which had been struck by a bullet. The owner of the vehicle advised she was inside shopping and heard the gunfire. The victim could not provide any further information. There are no suspects or leads at this time.
• ·On 2/20/16 at 11:20 pm, 29 year old Michelle Westbrooks attended a family party on Fernbank Way. Westbrooks became too intoxicated to drive, so a friend attempted to get Westbrooks’ car keys from her as she was trying to get into her vehicle to drive away. Westbrooks became belligerent and punched her friend twice in the head causing a minor injury. The friend signed a citizen’s arrest for battery. A computer check revealed Westbrooks had a citable warrant for her arrest. Westbrooks was cited and released on both charges and left with a family member.
• ·On 2/20/16 at 7:11 pm, officers responded to a narcotics complaint at the Bonfare Market on W 10^th St with an associated blue Honda. There were multiple subjects in front of the business who quickly left the area as officers were arriving. They contacted 27 year old Malcom Jordan who was in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. As officers approached they saw Jordan with his hands in his pants trying to hide something. A consent search revealed he was in possession of .7 grams of cocaine and 1 ecstasy pill. Jordan was arrested and released on a citation.
• ·On 2/19/16 at 9:47 pm, officers responded to the report of shots fired in the parking lot of Diablo West Park on Prewett Ranch Dr with subjects said to be running from the park and others in a dark colored 4-door vehicle. Upon arrival, several personal items were found strewn around the parking lot and two bullet holes in the bathroom were found. None of the parties could be located or their ID confirmed at this time. An extensive area check for any involved parties or possible victims was conducted with negative results. All area hospitals were notified.
• ·On 2/19/16 at 4:00 pm, officers were aware 25 year old Angelina Moreno had a felony warrant for her arrest. The officers drove past the 1300 block of W 9^th St where Moreno was known to frequent. Moreno was located in a vehicle parked in the driveway and was arrested without incident. During a search of Moreno’s person, officers located a bindle containing suspected heroin from her pocket. Moreno was arrested for possession of heroin and a probation violation as well as an outstanding warrant for her. Moreno was booked at APD and later sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/19/16 at 1:23 pm, an officer was dispatched to a disturbance at 800 Blue Rock Dr. While he was enroute there he attempted to make a traffic stop on a Honda with no plates. The vehicle failed to yield and he chased the vehicle for two city blocks. 27 year old Nifae Tinoifili stopped the vehicle at 800 Blue Rock Dr and fled on foot. Two passengers of the Honda were contacted and it was learned that Tinoifili’s brother lived at 800 Blue Rock Dr and that Tinoifili was involved in an earlier disturbance. The residence was searched but Tinoifili was not located. During this incident Richmond PD took a stolen vehicle report in their city for the Honda.
• ·On 2/19/16 at 8:21 am, officers responded to two calls for service at 2100 Buchanan Rd for 34 year old Melvin Russell causing a disturbance. He was not on scene during the first call for service. Russell was contacted during the second call for service and determined to be under the influence of a stimulant. Russell was arrested and sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/19/16 at 2:54 am, an officer contacted 23 year old Ashley Torres during a vehicle stop at W 9th St and O St and found she had a warrant for her arrest for petty theft. She was transported and booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/18/16 at 11:15 pm, an officer saw 21 year old Michael Moore in a vehicle occupied by two other people parked in front of the Bonfare Market on West 10^th St. The officer saw another male adult walk away from the vehicle as he approached. He contacted the three and heard something hit the floorboard at Moore’s feet. Knowing all three were on searchable probation, the officer located a pill bottle with coins and what appeared to be “cutter” inside during a search. Moore was searched and found to be in possession of heroin. He was arrested without incident and booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/18/16 at 8:21 am, officers were in the downtown area when they did a records check on a Honda that 43 year old Eric Agundez was getting into and found it was stolen. Agundez drove off in the vehicle and was able to take some side streets and dumped the car at W 5^th and H Streets. Agundez was located at 9^th and H Streets and positively identified as the person driving the stolen Honda. It was learned that Agundez is the boyfriend of the victim’s daughter. He was also on parole. He was arrested and transported to county jail for auto theft and a parole violation.

On Sunday, February 28, 2016 at approximately 11:30 pm, two female victims were leaving the Antioch Amtrak train station in a car when a male suspect approached the car on foot and opened the driver’s door.  The male suspect dragged the female driver out of the car.  The male suspect was holding a handgun in his hand and ordered the females away from the car.  The male suspect got into the driver’s seat and fled the area in the female’s stolen car.  The two females were not injured during this incident.

On Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 10:00 am, Antioch Police Department Detectives saw 28 year old Justin Griffin driving a vehicle that had been stolen in an armed carjacking, just days prior. The Antioch Detectives knew that a gun was used in the carjacking and were aware that Griffin had warrants for his arrest and was considered a parolee at large.

The Detectives attempted to use uniformed Patrol Officers to contact and arrest Griffin, however

he fled from the contact and led the Patrol Officers on a short vehicle pursuit. Griffin caused a vehicle collision on Delta Fair Boulevard at Fairview Drive, near Somersville Road. He fled from the collision on foot and was captured in the parking lot of a nearby business. Griffin fought with the arresting officers, but was eventually taken into custody.

Griffin and the driver of the vehicle that he collided with were both evaluated for injuries at a local hospital as a precaution due to the collision. Griffin was released from the hospital and was

eventually transported to the Martinez County Detention Facility.

What was believed to be an attempted abduction of an Antioch High School girl, Tuesday morning, has been relabled suspicious activity by the Antioch Police Department.

According to a news release by Acting Sergeant Shawn Morin, Antioch Police Field Services Bureau, “On March 1, 2016 at approximately 9:44 PM, Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to investigate suspicious incident that occurred near the intersection of L St and Sycamore Dr. Upon arrival, officers learned of a student walking to Antioch High School that was approached by a subject in a vehicle. The subject motioned for the student to come to his vehicle, but the student ignored the man and continued to school.

There was no direct physical contact between the driver and student. Additionally, there was no clear indication of the intent of the subject driving the vehicle. The vehicle was last seen driving north on L St from 18^th St. The vehicle was described as an unknown make and model gold colored minivan. The driver was described as a hispanic male, unknown age, “droopy face” and black hair.”

According to an email from the office of Interim Superintendent Stephanie Anello of the Antioch Unified School District, received, Tuesday afternoon, March 1, 2016, the following phone message was sent out to parents of students in the district:

This is the Antioch Unified School District calling with an important safety announcement. Earlier today, an Antioch High School student reported that she was approached by a man in a van who attempted to grab her wrist. The student was unharmed and is safe.  Antioch Police Department has been notified. The van was described by the student as older with faded gold paint and a license plate with the letters 4 and D in it. The man driving the van was described by the student as Latino with bushy eyebrows. The student reported that this occurred near Antioch High School. As a precaution, we will have extra security in the area. Please take a moment to review stranger danger with your children and to remind them to never get into a vehicle with a stranger, even when the stranger says that he or she is a friend or has been sent to pick them up by another family member. As always, your child’s safety is our number one concern. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s school should you have further questions or concerns.

On Sunday, February 28, 2016 at approximately 1:54 PM, Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to a vehicle collision with injuries at Alumrock Drive and Rockford Drive. Upon our arrival, we located a black Lexus vehicle that had lost control while making a turn on to Alumrock Drive. The Lexus collided with a parked SUV as the occupants of the SUV were getting out of the parked vehicle.

During the collision, a 10-year-old child was struck by one of the cars. The child was treated by medical personnel on scene and subsequently transported to an area hospital for injuries sustained in the collision.

This preliminary information is made available by the Field Services Bureau.

At 3:50 hours, today, Monday, February 22, 2016, Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to the 3400 block of Oakley Road on the reports of shots being fired in the area and a subject down. Upon arrival officers located an 18-year-old male who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Antioch Police Detectives were called to the scene and are actively working the investigation as a homicide. If it is determined to be, it will be Antioch’s fourth homicide of the year.

The location of the crime scene was between Phillips Lane in Antioch and Highway 160. Police had Oakley Road blocked off between Phillips Lane and Neroly Road in Oakley.

• ·On 2/17/16 at 6:40 pm, an unknown adult male wearing a mask entered Clear Comm Wireless in the 2500 block of Sycamore Dr and brandished a firearm. The responsible demanded the money from the register and ordered the clerk and customer to give him their money and cell phones. The customer told the responsible he was not going to give up his money and wrestled the responsible for the gun. During the struggle for the gun, the magazine fell out and the responsible fled the store as the customer gave chase. The customer was unable to catch the responsible and returned to the store. A short time later the responsible returned to the store and demanded the money and cell phones a second time. This time the responsible shot the customer who chased him one time. The customer sustained a gunshot wound to the left hand and left thigh. The responsible left the store with several phones and an unknown amount of cash. The customer was transported to the hospital for his injuries which were not life threatening.
• ·On 2/17/16 at 5:33pm, officers were dispatched to W 11^th St and Diamond St on a report of subjects hanging out in a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers contacted 29 year old Vernon Smith. Smith was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a glass pipe. He was issued a citation was released from the scene.
• ·On 2/17/16 at 12:35 pm, officers attempted to contact 24 year old Raymond Cardoza on a bicycle and he fled. Ultimately, Cardoza got tired and was contacted by police. He lied about his name and was found to be in possession of burglary tools. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.
• ·On 2/16/16 at 11:42 pm, officers responded to Starlight Lane and Mahogany Way on a report of a vehicle rollover collision with people trapped. Officers arrived and located a vehicle on its roof and having collided into the backside of two apartments at 2201 Sycamore. The subjects in the vehicle fled prior to arrival and it was determined the vehicle was an unreported stolen out of Oakley. There are no suspect leads. The two tenants were displaced due to the extensive damage to the building. Red Cross was called and provided assistance to the tenants.
• ·On 2/16/16 at 10:54 pm, an anonymous caller reported that a drunk female had just left Lou’s bar and was last seen driving southbound on A St. Officers located the vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop in the area of 18^th St and A St. They contacted the driver, 55 year old Janet Wilson, who was found to be intoxicated. Wilson was subsequently arrested and booked into county jail for DUI.
• ·On 2/16/16 at 8:45 pm, officers made a traffic stop on 28 year old Daryk Robinson and during the contact located methamphetamine in his possession. He was taken into custody and site released.
• ·On 2/16/16 at 1:09 pm, an officer responded to 1015 Fitzuren Rd on a report of an argument and possible fight. There, the officer contacted 30 year old Zarina Wilson who was found to have a warrant for her arrest. She was taken into custody and transported to county jail.
• ·On 2/15/16 at 9:29 pm, officers responded to a home in the 4900 Waterford Way on a report of a family disturbance. Upon arrival they contacted 41 year old Daniel Bryant. A computer check on Bryant revealed he had a no bail warrant for his arrest. The warrant was confirmed and Bryant was arrested without incident and booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/15/16 at 8:48 pm, Rio Vista PD pursued a red Jeep driven by 21 year old Danny Walton into Antioch. Walton had a felony warrant for assault with a deadly weapon and a probation violation. Walton crashed into a parked car at E 13th St and Marie Ave, causing major damage to his vehicle. Walton was able to continue for a short distance further until his vehicle became disabled on Cavallo Rd near E 13^th St. Walton fled on foot and was not located. No APD units were involved in the pursuit. We assisted with a perimeter, extensive area check for Walton, and took the collision report.
• ·On 2/15/16 at 8:48 pm, as a follow up to Rio Vista PD’s pursuit, information was obtained that the responsible driver, 21 year old Danny Walton may have gone into 323 Nash Ave. Officer’s made contact with the homeowner, 33 year old Terrence Smith, who was less than cooperative. A records check on Smith revealed he had a warrant out for his arrest for a weapons violation. Smith was arrested without incident. The original suspect, Walton was not located. Smith was booked into county jail.
• ·On 2/15/16 at 3:56 pm, officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Buchanan Rd for a complaint about homeless setting up a camp. Officers arrived on scene and contacted 38 year old Steven Davenport. Davenport had a misdemeanor warrant for his arrest. He was arrested without incident and booked at county jail.
• ·On 2/15/16 at 12:40 pm, officers were dispatch to 2301 Sycamore Dr regarding two subjects breaking into a vacant apartment. Officers arrived on scene and located 39 year old Julian Owens and 29 year old Vartisha Jones inside the apartment. They were arrested and cited for trespassing. Owens was sent to county jail on five outstanding bench warrants.
• ·On 2/15/16 at 12:27 am, officers responded to calls of shots fired in the 2100 block of Peppertree Way and contacted a victim who was sitting in his vehicle in the carport. There were two bullet holes in his vehicle and one in an unoccupied vehicle next to him. The victim denied seeing anything and no suspects were located. We located two .40 cal casings near the vehicles. There were no other victims and no other property damage.
• ·On 2/14/16 at 11:24 pm, 24 year old Luis Avila-Cervantes was stopped and contacted for traffic violations. Officers obtained consent to search his vehicle and found metal knuckles in the center console area. Avila-Cervantes was taken into custody without incident and sent to county jail.
• n 2/14/16 at 5:00 pm, officers were responding to a shots fired call in the area of West 11th and G St when they located a stolen vehicle occupied by 30 year old Justin Hernandez. Hernandez was taken into custody without incident and later sent to county jail. No victims, casings, or property damage was located regarding the shots call.
• ·On 2/14/16 at 2:46 pm, an officer was dispatched to West 8^th St for a suspicious subject call. The officer contacted 52 year old Mark Arroyo who was on parole. During a search of Arroyo, he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Arroyo was arrested and a parole hold was placed on him. He was booked into county jail without incident.
• ·On 2/14/16 at 2:43 am, officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Beechwood Ct for a report of two males breaking into a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and no one was located. During an area search, an officer located 25 year old Johnny Ramos inside of a vehicle on Mahua Way. Ramos advised he was at his friend’s house and provided a false name to the officer. The officer contacted the homeowner who advised he did not know Ramos and advised Ramos should not have been in his car. Ramos was arrested and admitted to breaking into the car. He was booked at APD and released on a citation.
• ·On 2/14/16 at 2:43 am, an officer was clearing the cover for the above stop. He located 35 year old Ansu Bailey at Bamboo Way and Muirwood Way who matched the description from the original burglary call for service. He conducted a pedestrian stop and learned Bailey was on parole. He conducted a parole search and located several items belonging to another victim. The victim was contacted and it was learned she lived a few blocks away from the pedestrian stop. The victim did not know Bailey and he was not supposed to be in possession of her belongings. The victim went to her vehicle and discovered someone ransacked the interior of her vehicle stealing some of her belongings. Parole was contacted and placed a parole hold on Bailey and he was transported to county jail.
• ·On 2/13/16 at 1:29 am, officers were on foot patrol in the area of W. 9th Street, J Street, and the cottages nearby when they observed 23 year old Timothy Crabtree who they knew had a warrant. Crabtree was contacted with 25 year old Joseph Curiel and arrested without incident. Crabtree was sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/13/16 at 9:35 am, an officer was on routine patrol when he saw 52 year old Dale Saunders run a stop sign. The officer stopped Saunders and found him to be on probation. The vehicle was searched and the officer located 3.4 grams of methamphetamine inside of the vehicle. Saunders was issued a citation and released.
• ·On 2/13/16 at 3:39 am, APD received a call regarding a blue Honda parked in the Wal-Mart parking lot with a possible intoxicated male inside. Upon our arrival, we located 35 year old Cesar Briones parked in the middle of the parking lot asleep, ignition on, windshield wipers moving, car in drive, and foot on the brake. Officers observed there to be two empty wine bottles on the passenger seat along with two empty beer cans. Officers were able to place the vehicle into park prior to Briones waking and crashing. After a series of field sobriety tests, it was determined Briones was under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested. He was transported to county jail.
• ·On 2/12/16 at 10:21 pm, APD received a call for service regarding vehicles making quick stops at a house in the 4200 block of Merced Cir. The reporting party also indicated the address may be involved with the sales of narcotics. Two APD Corporals have prior knowledge of the owner of the home, 40 year old, Denice Marshall, and knew her to be on probation for the sales of narcotics. Officers from Swing shift and Graveyard partnered and conducted a probation search at the home for Marshall. Upon arrival, Marshall fled upstairs into the master bedroom closing the door. Officers were directly behind her and forced the door open as she was attempting to manipulate a dresser drawer. She was placed into handcuffs without further incident. During the probation search a total of 1/2 ounce of methamphetamine, 3.1 grams of heroin, 5.2 grams of cocaine, and hundreds of prescription pills for sale were located. There was also over $1,100.00 cash located and asset seized.
• ·On 2/12/16 at 9:00 pm, officers were dispatched to the area of 1000 Apollo Ct for a report of 7 to 8 subjects fighting. Upon APD arrival everyone was gone except a 38 year old male, 29 year old Arthur Castro, and a 33 year old male who were preparing to leave in a truck. An officer made contact with the three and Arthur was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia. There was no other party to the altercation located. Arthur Castro was arrested for the narcotics and released on a signed promise to appear.
• ·On 2/12/16 at 2:19 pm, 33 year old Tawny Garrison attempted to leave JC Penney’s with $213 of stolen merchandise. Loss prevention officers attempted to detain Garrison and she violently struggled with them in an attempt to flee. She was taken to the ground and during the struggle bit one of the loss prevention officers on the arm. The other injured her left index finger during the struggle. Garrison claimed that one of the loss prevention officers placed her in a choke hold causing her not to be able to breathe. Due to the claim of being choked, Garrison was medically cleared on her way to county jail for attempted robbery.
• ·On 2/11/16 at 12:24 pm, an officer contacted a suspicious vehicle in front of Dollar General located at 20 West 10th St occupied by 25 year old Johnny Ramos. Ramos had a warrant for his arrest and he was transported to county jail.
• ·On 2/11/16 at 9:18 am, officers made contact on E. Madill St while investigating an unoccupied stolen vehicle parked in front of the residence. Several suspicious subjects were contacted and 38 year old Carlos Montanez was identified as the suspect associated with the vehicle. 20 year old Mitchell Moore was also contacted at the residence and arrested on outstanding warrants. Both were arrested and transported to county jail.
• ·On 2/11/16 at 5:18 am, officers were dispatched to the area of Wildhorse Dr and Folsom Dr for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival they made contact with 24 year old Cesar Acosta who was found to be in possession of a concealed knife and shaved keys. Acosta was arrested and sent to county jail.
• ·On 2/11/16 at 3:41 am, officers were dispatched to Goodwill at 2701 Verne Roberts Cir on a report of a video verified alarm. The alarm company advised a subscriber would be en-route to the location. Officers arrived on scene and contacted both 29 year old Joseph Dalessio and 38 year old Angela Pena. They were placed under citizens arrest by the subscriber for trespassing and petty theft. Dalessio was recently identified by APD for Brentwood as a responsible in a grand theft case based on a flier Brentwood PD distributed. Dalessio is on probation and he was sent to county jail. Pena was released on a signed promise to appear.
• ·On 2/10/16 at 12:18 pm, the victim arranged to sell 19 year old Darion Boswell four pairs of tennis shoes and they agreed to meet at Williamson Ranch Park at 5000 Lone Tree Way. The victim and his girlfriend met with Boswell at the park and Boswell robbed both at gunpoint. Boswell then forced the victims into their own vehicle at gunpoint and made them drive him several blocks away from the scene. The victim’s cell phone was pinged and it showed at Gas City/Shell on Lone Tree Way. Officers responded and were able to identify a suspect vehicle on video. An officer located the vehicle driving and made a traffic enforcement stop. Boswell was identified as the person who committed the robbery and was found to be in possession of a loaded Sig P220. Officers interviewed Boswell who admitted to committing numerous residential burglaries and armed robberies in Antioch. Investigations were notified and took over the investigation due to the number of crimes Boswell was admitting to. Boswell was later transported to county jail.
