Belle denied motion to dismiss, pleads not guilty in ballot statement lie case

By Allen Payton

During a court hearing on Friday, December 4, 2015, a Superior Court judge denied Contra Costa School Board Trustee Jeff Belle’s motion to dismiss the charge of lying on his candidate statement, in last year’s election.

Following that decision Belle was arraigned and plead not guilty to the charge, according to Deputy District Attorney Steve Moawad, who filed the case.

A pre-trial hearing in the case is set for 8:45 a.m. on February 11th in Martinez.

Belle is accused of lying about having a college degree, when he did not have one at the time he ran for and was elected to the county school board. The crime carries a maximum penalty of a $1,000 fine.

Thanks Allen Payton for continuing to expose this predatory liar. Matt Steadman, Oklahoma District Attorney Investigator will be glad to answer anyone’s questions concerning Jeff’s past criminal activity. So would several ex-wives that Jeff destroyed financially.
