Gill leads McNerney by 20 points among Decline to State and independent voters, according to the poll.

Also significantly, the poll finds the proportion of voters who view McNerney unfavorably is equal to those who view him favorably. McNerney is viewed particularly unfavorably by voters in San Joaquin County, by seniors, and by Latino voters.

This is the same polling group that conducted Ricky’s poll that only found McNerney up two points a few months ago. I’d like to see other polls before I believe this.

Other sites show this as a Lean Democrat seat. The Rothenberg Report says it is a toss up that leans democrat.

      Mr. Smith,
      We appreciate your comment.
We publish almost any press release we receive that pertains to Antioch, unless there is something that is blatantly or obviously false or incorrect. We simply don’t have the staff or the time to check the veracity of the information in each press release. That burden lies with the one who sent it.
However, the link provided in the article allows readers to see the details of the poll report to the Gill campaign, making it obvious that this is an internal poll done by the Gill campaign, not by some independent polling organization. This was not a review of the questions in the poll and how they were asked. This was not an analysis of the poll information provided in the press release. It was merely a posting of the results of the poll, as provided by the Gill campaign.
Readers can determine for themselves whether they want to believe the results of the poll or not, and whether or not they’ll allow it to influence their decision-making when they vote.
We’re sure there will be more polls done by both campaigns before the election and if they provide press releases to us about them, then we will post them, as well.
Thank you for reading and the additional information you provided for our readers.

Thank you for your quick reply and recognizing that the poll was done by a Republican polling firm who conducted this on behalf of the Gill campaign.
